Changing Font in an unlocked cell in a protected sheet.
 

Please help. I have excel 2000. Is it possible to enable an unlocked cell to
change font type, size etc in a protected worksheet. The font menu drops down
as usual and I can click on a font but it does not change afterwards.

I am on 2003 so I dont know if this will be right on 2000 but when protecting
the sheet there may be an option to allow cells to be formatted. If there is
then select this and you should be good to go.

Hi pyrite

The only box I can uncheck appears to be the contents box but unfortunately
this makes the whole sheet 'live' for editing text so doesn't really help.
