Change the name of the Data field in a Pivot Table
Hi,
I would like to amend the Field Heading in a pivot. Currently they read Sum Of Actual Sum Of Forecast How can i drop the "Sum of" please? Thanks John |

Change the name of the Data field in a Pivot Table
Much the same as you would any other cell.
Type over it; or F2 to edit; or Use Replace function to change "Sum Of " to blanks. In some instances, you may get an error msg that "Actual" already exists. In that case, change it to "Actuals" or "Actual " (with a space at the end). In some versions of Excel, however, if the new name is completely unrelated to the data source, if you're as forgetful as me, you may have to poke around some to determine which column your data actually comes from.
