Protecting conditional formatting
Hi Bob, sorry I wasn't more specific, I'll explain... I have a range of cells
set up that change colour depending on the value entered in them, however, the problem is that some users are changing the formatting setup so if possible I would like to be able to lock or disable the formatting option once I've reset the CF values. Can you help me? Thank you Phil "Bob Phillips" wrote: Protect the CF? In what way? -- __________________________________ HTH Bob "Phil20031" wrote in message ... Protecting conditional formatting
You can unlock the cells for data input then protect the sheet with a
password. Users won't be allowed to "format cells" and the CF will be grayed out. Note: Excel internal security is quite weak and passwords easily cracked.
