excel 2007 - recent documents

I have been able to "turn on" the recent documents function in 2007 - BUT it
disappears when I go out and enter excel 2007 again.
It works fine in word and PP -- but in Excel the "recent document" box
disappears.
Thanks for prompt answer..

I have tried this after searching for the Recent Documents -- BUT the
RecentDocsHistory is NOT under this link as described in the discussion link
that you gave me. I am just wondering if this could have been moved -- do
you know ?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\ExplorÂ*Â*er\NoRecentDocsHistor y

When I get to Explorar there are only two options : NoComputersNearMe and
NoDriveTypeAutoRun

Any idea where this setting could be fixed elsewhere...
