Another Filter Question
Greetings again. I'm using VISTA and Excel 2007.
When I'm using "Filter by Selected Cell's Value," the rows containing this value appear, of course, top to bottom. If I enter something in a blank cell at the top I can copy the contents of this cell down to the bottom of the filtered list, of course. Is it possible to type in something the top cell and then with a mouse click or whatever, fill in all the empty cells down to the bottom of the list automatically (without dragging the mouse)? This works fine when I'm not using a filter, but I can't seem to get it to work after filtering by the cell's value. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Could you please tell me how to do this? Thanks. |
Another Filter Question
Hi Rebecca
After changing the entry in the topmost cell, press Enter. Then, hover over the bottom right corner of that cell till you see the solid black icondouble click -- Regards Roger Govier "Rebecca" wrote in message ... Greetings again.
