conditional format with formula

In Excel 2007, is there a way to use conditional formating to
highlight cells that have a formula. I want to highlight only cells
with any type of formula. If it is a value I do not want any
highlight. I want to do this only thru conditional formatting not with
a macro.

Thanks

Hi. Here's one way. Start with a custom function that returns True if a cell has a formula:

Function HasFormulaQ(rng As Range) As Boolean
HasFormulaQ = rng.HasFormula
End Function

In Excel 2007, suppose you select A1:A10.
Go to Home | Conditional formatting (under styles) | New Rule | Use a formula.

Use the formula
=HasFormulaQ(A1)

The A1 is the first cell in your selection. When you enter this, Excel will adjust the equation for the other selected cells.
Make your format adjustments, and hit enter.
