I am making a simple bar graph, but everytime I try to change the x axis from
numbers to years 1996, 1997, 1998, etc, the bars disappear; what am I doing wrong? |

It sounds like you are changing the axis, but it is still graphing the
original numbers, and they are very small compared to 1996, etc, so the bars are all not on that scale. "adag59" wrote: I am making a simple bar graph, but everytime I try to change the x axis from numbers to years 1996, 1997, 1998, etc, the bars disappear; what am I doing wrong? |

Hi,
Try this, with the series (for the bars) selected on the chart, choose Chart, Source Data, Series tab, place your cursor in the Category (X) axis labels box and highlight the range containing the year. If there is more than one series in the Series window, select and remove any you don't want. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "adag59" wrote: I am making a simple bar graph, but everytime I try to change the x axis from numbers to years 1996, 1997, 1998, etc, the bars disappear; what am I doing wrong? |
