Answer: How to remove 0's in front of numbers?

  1. Select the column of numbers that you want to remove the 0's from.
  2. Right-click on the selected cells and choose "Format Cells" from the context menu.
  3. In the "Format Cells" dialog box, select the "Custom" category.
  4. In the "Type" field, enter the following format code:
    Formula:

    #,##

  5. Click "OK" to apply the format to the selected cells.

This will remove the 0's in front of the numbers and display them without any leading zeros. The format code
Formula:

#,##

tells Excel to display the number with a comma separator for thousands and no decimal places.

How to remove 0's in front of numbers?

Format as general or as number without any decimals. If they still look the
same they must be text or have invisible characters.

How to remove 0's in front of numbers?

After specifying the format as number you have to activate them so you would
have to activate them as reentries.

One way would be to select an empty cell then select the cells you need to convert,
then right click, then Paste Special, then Add

That is better than multiplying by 1 as it will not damage empty cells.
