tab between protected cells
I need to be able to tab between protected cells on a document. Some of the
cells have been merged and the tab key just goes between two of the merged cells and will not move to the next cell? What is stopping it from continueing? |
tab between protected cells
This is one of the many problems with merged cells.
Excel doesn't know what to do with them. I suppose there is a logical and technical reason but I haven't figured it out. My advice............avoid merged cells unless for presentation purposes only. Most times "center across selection" will do the job. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Wed, 24 Sep 2008 15:01:02 -0700, Support wrote: I need to be able to tab between protected cells on a document. Found the fix. If the last field on the row is merged across 2 rows it can't
advance to the next field because it can't see where to go. So make sure that the field after the last merge is not a single row but rather the same number of rows merged as your previous merge so that it can move to the next field....very confusing but we got it to work. Happy Excelling with your merged cells.
Hope you don't have to do any copying, pasting, sorting, filtering and other operations. Gord On Thu, 25 Sep 2008 11:29:01 -0700, Support wrote: Found the fix.
