When typing text into a cell, Excel will sometimes autofill in what I have
previously typed into another cell. If I have many cells to type, I do not want it auto filling. How do I stop Excel from doing this. |

If you mean that you have for instance type California in cell A2 then in A2
you want to type Canada but as soon you start it fills it with California? Normally it is actually a great help if you do a lot of text entries but it can be turned off at toolsoptionsedit and clear "enable autocomplete for cell values" -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Linda" wrote in message ... Tools.OptionsEdit. Uncheck "enable autocomplete for cell values"
Thses instructions are for 2003 and earlier.
