Using Excel 2003. I have a protected worksheet on which I want to set the
cell order the cursor moves to when the user presses the arrow keys. This
would involve moving the cursor to different columns and back. I have not
been able to find the information and would appreciate any guidance I can get.

When you unprotect the data entry cells, or the cell you want your users to
have access to you need to set the selection to unlocked cells only.

Click TOOLS in the menu and select PROTECTION, PROTECT SHEET. In the
PROTECT SHEET dialog box remove the check from the SELECT LOCKED CELLS
checkbox and place a check in the SELECT UNLOCKED CELLS checkbox.

Add a password if you so choose and click OK.

Thanks, I finally found enough information. While the arrow keys do not
move to the cells in the order I want the tab key does. The tab key will
work just fine.

Tab key will only move left to right and top to bottom.

Is that the order you want?

BTW............the rightarrow key or ENTER key set to move right will work
same as the Tab key in the above configuration.
