automate copy and paste
I am preparing an ecommerce worksheet with 15,000 part numbers and
descriptions. I am trying to assign a category ID number to each part. The 900 category ID's and descriptions are stored in another worksheet. Is there a way to automate this procedure? I have been copying and pasting. thanks, Richard |

Have you looked into using VLOOKUP, or an INDEX/MATCH combination? Excel
Help describes them quite well, or you could take a look he http://www.contextures.com/xlFunctions02.html and he http://www.contextures.com/xlFunctions03.html Hope this helps.
