How do you format a cell to read text only?
Please provide more detail using the large white section called the "body"

Hi Gord:
I am trying to limit certain columns to text only entry. In datavalidationallowcustom I entered =ISTEXT(B9:B50), but I still get my stop message when entering any letters only. How do you format a cell to read text only?
You cannot do that on a range.
Select B9:B50 and enter the formula =ISTEXT(B9) Make sure you enter as above.
