Graphing data from multiple worksheets in same workbook
I am using Excel 2007, however I'm not a frequent user. I created a workbook
with a separate worksheet for each quarter of the year for the last few years. The layout of each worksheet is the same. I can successfully create a graph from a single worksheet using a range of data on that sheet. My problem lies in creating a graph using data across multiple worksheets. Let's say that I click on a new worksheet and insert an empty line chart. I then right click on the chart and select the option to select data. I enter a series name and then attempt to select the data. I click on the first worksheet and click on cell A5 for example. I then hold the shift key and click on the last worksheet containing valid data in the A5 cell. I go to save formula and it throws an error saying that the formula has an error. What am I doing wrong? Is Excel supposed to be able to graph data from the same cell across multiple worksheets? -- Lance |
