Default Excel color scheme

I have multiple users accessing an Excel document from a shared location.
Users are using mostly Office 2003, but there may be some users with Office
2007 that have access to the document. All computer also have the
compatibility pack installed. Fields that are color coded appear in different
colors on one particular users computer. This user also experiences problems
updating the document. One user running 03 also experiences difficulty
updating the document as you can see by her comments below:

My documents keep getting closed due to repairs that cannot be fixed. Also,
the colors keep changing in my documents from their original colors.

The file is a .xls file. Is this just a compatibility issue? Has anyone ever
experienced an issue like this??
