I have a symbol on my screen I don't know how to get rid of. Help!
I have a symbol on my screen that I don't know and can't get rid of. Every
time it comes up my only recourse is to close the workbook without saving and bring it up again. Which means I have to reinput everything I lost. The symbol is a large inverted black triangle surrounded by a white circle. Can anyone help me? I know it's simple and I'm being stupid, but it's still a major pain. |

Is it to the left of the cell? Have you tried clicking the inverted triangle?
Inverted traingle usually indicates an error or warning... You can simply ignore it... Pl. send the file to where you see such an error (you can save the file to a new name when you get the error and send to me) "hardmary" wrote: I have a symbol on my screen that I don't know and can't get rid of. At the time I've been setting up a data validation form for a multi-choice answers to a table column. In this case,it was chosing an age group of (35-44,45-54,etc) in an age group column. But I have that set up the way I want it, and then later this symbol comes up. It just appears . |

Does the figure disappear? Bill |

I'll have to wait till the next time it comes up. I finally right clicked it
and chose cut. If it happens again I'll try your suggestion. Tx. "Bill Sharpe" wrote: hardmary wrote: I have a symbol on my screen that I don't know and can't get rid of.
