formula based on format
Is there a way to have a formula that is based on a cell colour or based on
the way a cell is formated? I need it to count the number of occurrences that this happens. -- Thank you for your time. Windows NT Office 97 |
Hi
you'll need VBA. See for an example: http://cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm "James Kendall" wrote: Is there a way to have a formula that is based on a cell colour or based on the way a cell is formated? This is new to me. I have copied it into the VB sheet and placed the
following formula in a cell but it only shows #Name. What am I doing wrong. I did this to both the countbycolor and the return colorindex value functions and neither work. Hi
you also have to put the macro code in a module. See: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany "James Kendall" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
