Custom Views Error Message
Sometimes when I have created a custom view and then go to view it I get a
message 'Some view settings could not be applied'. This happens sometimes and not at other times when I do a simple filter and hide columns even though I am doing the same thing. I am using Office 2003 and Windows XP |

Does anyone use Custom Views? If so have you ever had this problem?

Custom Views Error Message
I very rarely use custom views. But in the few times I have used them, I have
seen that warning message. I could never find what the heck the settings were that could not be applied. Personally, I like to use macros to show my "custom views". I remember a workbook that had one worksheet that had lots and lots of columns and a lot of rows. I recorded macros that would show all the data and separate macros that would hide columns and filter the rows. Each macro was named after the person/group that wanted that "view". I'm not sure if that's an option for you, but it worked fine for me. Phippsy wrote: Does anyone use Custom Views? If so have you ever had this problem? Thanks for that it is worth a try but isn't it frustrating that no one seems
to know what the problem is! "Dave Peterson" wrote: I very rarely use custom views. But in the few times I have used them, I have seen that warning message.
