I am working on a scheduling program. I want to use color in the cells
representing the hour and continue the color through the duration of the day for example if an employee comes in at 9am and leaves at 5pm I wanted to color the cells from 9-5. With that I wanted to count for a total the number of cells colored so I may end up with a total hours used for the day with all employees |

Barb might have meant this site from Chip Pearson:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.aspx Look for the CountColor function. If you're new to macros: Debra Dalgleish has some notes how to implement macros he http://www.contextures.com/xlvba01.html David McRitchie has an intro to macros: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm Ron de Bruin's intro to macros: http://www.rondebruin.nl/code.htm (General, Regular and Standard modules all describe the same thing.) Could you please provide the link to the solution? It appears missing.
