Drop down list with free text feature?
I know how to use data validation to make a drop down list. I did this to
make things easier for my coworkers to do our "OnCall" list. However, I need to be able to make it so they can also type stuff into the boxes as well. For example, My Cardiology dropdown has all of our Cardiologists in it. Everynow and again we have some off the wall MD cover. I need to be able to put that MD into the box without adding them to the Validation. Is there a way to do this? So far everything I try just tells me that I can't because of the validation list. |

Disable the error message:
Select the cell with the drop down Goto the menu DataValidationError alert tab Uncheck: Show error alert..... OK -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Mike" wrote in message ...
