Refreshing fields in Excel

I have fields that get updated on a shared document on a server for multiple
users within the company. If a data point is changed (entered manually) the
others have to refresh each time and this is in the neighborhood of 100
users. Is there a way to run something along the lines of a macro to
auto-update the document for each user without the users (who are not
entering data but using it) having to hit refresh each time

Assuming that the workbook is a shared workbook, you can set updates to
update every x number of minutes. Click TOOLS in the menu, select SHARE
WORKBOOK, click the ADVANCED tab and in the middle of the tab page click the
AUTOMATICALLY EVERY option button and set the refresh rate. Minimum value
for refreshing the workbook is 5 minutes.
