text vs number
 
I have an inventory code 10E3 when I try and import it in a speadsheet it
always wants to go in as 1.00E+04 which looks to me like 10000 this also
happens for my inventory code 22E3 (2.20E+04) I tryed formmated to text but
it stil does not like it

Help!

How are you importing it?

If as a text file through the Wizard, make sure you click on that column and
assign it the Text datatype

I did click test datatype my other number in the column EX 2253 are coming
trough as text only the two items with an "E" in the middle (10E3 & 22E3)
are having the problems. it converts it to 10000 or 1.00E+04. "E19" has no
problems either.
