"File in Use"

I create an Excel spreadsheet and save it to my pocket drive. I copy it to
another computer and can not open it because the measge box "File In Use"
appears

Open 'Read Only" or click "Notify' to open read-only and receive
notification when document is no longer in use'

I can open it read only and save under another name and the same thing
happens after the first time opening. In other words, I can open the file one
and once only. I do not have another file open and I can find no settings to
fix this. I am using 200 at home and 2003 at work. This just started over the
weekend. I have used and edited the same file for the past month with no
problems.

HELP! this is an important work document.

Thanks,
Jim Slater

I'm guessing this is a Windows computer. Are you using the stop command
before you unplug the pocket drive/Flash drive? You will probably have to
use the stop command so that everything gets written to the drive.

Yes, I am using the stop command. It seems as thought the program is not
closing.
