When you select a cell with a hyperlink a message pops up telling how to
select the cell. Is there a way to disable this pop up?

or perhaps...
- select the cell and do an "insert hyperlink" (ctrl + alt + K)
- press the button display info... (or screen info... or something like that)
- put a single space (or customize the popup text) -?-
