row to column
how can i copy a row and paste it as a column? Thanks -- deb |
row to column
Yes, but instead of doing a <paste you would move your cursor to
where you want the copied data to start (which must not overlap the row you have just selected and <copied), and then use Edit | Paste Special | Transpose (check) then OK and <Esc. Hope this helps. Pete On Aug 28, 9:07*pm, deb wrote: how can i copy a row and paste it as a column? Thanks -- deb |
row to column
Select the row to copy
Copy it Select the top cell of the column to paste edit|paste special|check Transpose and ok The row and the column can't overlap. So you may want to limit your copied range to just the cells you need (like columns A:E...) deb wrote: how can i copy a row and paste it as a column? Thanks -- deb -- Dave Peterson |

Copy the row and then right click at the starting cell in the column you want
to place the row in and select PASTE SPECIAL from the shortcut menu. Locate the TRANSPOSE check box and click to turn on, click OK to exit to the workbook -- Kevin Backmann "deb" wrote: how can i copy a row and paste it as a column? Thanks -- deb |
