pivot table source data expand to new entries when refresh?
I am working in Excel 2007. What I want is to have the new records I add to
my source data for my pivot table, to be added to the pivot when I refresh. I used to do this with an Excel "list" in 2003. The asterisk row would expand the range included in the data source for the pivot. Now I cannot find the same functionality in 2007 Excel "tables" - these replace the Excel list of 2003. Now in 2007 - I manually update the source data with the: Pivot Table Tools - Options - Change source Data command. What am I missing to get the pivot to see the new lines of data on the source worksheet? Thanks! Dianne Z |

Hi,
It's still there, but it's called Table now. Highlight the source data and choose Home, Format as Table... -- Cheers, Shane Devenshire "DianneZ" wrote: I am working in Excel 2007. I agree. This is what I needed too! Who would have thought it was in options?
