category axis - date
hi community
can anybody kindly assist me in this.. i plotted a data for 5 days (workdays - Monday to Friday) and when I selected the tabulated and plotted a chart (line chart) the plotted chart displayed out the whole week for me (Monday - Sunday) as well. How can I remove the two days (Saturday and Sunday) away from the category axis 10s community by the way, I am using Excel 2007 version 10s again for the help :) -- oldLearner57 |
category axis - date
Hi,
You need to tell the chart to plot the axis as Category rather than Time series. For xl2007 select the axis, CTRL+1 to display Format dialog. Select Axis Options Axis Type: Text axis Cheers Andy oldLearner57 wrote: hi community can anybody kindly assist me in this.. i plotted a data for 5 days (workdays - Monday to Friday) and when I selected the tabulated and plotted a chart (line chart) the plotted chart displayed out the whole week for me (Monday - Sunday) as well. Hi,
It sounds like you are defining the category axis as a date. Instead change the axis option to "Category". This is the 3rd step of the chart wizard, on the Axis tab. -- Cheers, Shane Devenshire "oldLearner57" wrote: hi community can anybody kindly assist me in this.. i plotted a data for 5 days (workdays - Monday to Friday) and when I selected the tabulated and plotted a chart (line chart) the plotted chart displayed out the whole week for me (Monday - Sunday) as well.
