Where does the information come from. You will need to enter it at least
once. You could use Define Name, or AutoCorrect to do this. Help covers both. wrote: i want to be able to enter a code for example s1 into a cell and have the information i need be put in that particular cell . |

Thanks Bob, I had planned on typing them in the workbook and placing them out
of the print area on the same sheet. i have been trying to get the auto correct to work but you have to have the cursor in the exact right place. Is there any way to assign the cell with the address a number and enter that number or code and bring it up in the cell? thanks "Bob I" wrote: Where does the information come from. Put the "subject text" in a remote cell, Click the remote cell, then
Define, Name, and name the cell say _S1. You may now use _S1 to make those contents appear in the "target" cell. If on the other hand the actual content have to be inserted as text then Auto correct would be the way to go. wrote: Thanks Bob, I had planned on typing them in the workbook and placing them out of the print area on the same sheet. i have been trying to get the auto correct to work but you have to have the cursor in the exact right place.
