there was a post on this very problem that suggested turning on auto recalc
but this did not work for me. I tried all the usual cell formatting (that I know -- there may be others). specifically I inserted a new collumn A. I then used the =row() formaul to get the row number in the cell as manipulatable data. I then inserted a new column B and wrote a formual to take the difference between the value of the row numbers . I then fill copied the formula by dragging it down. the first formula returned the number 57 (the correct answer) the next cell 57, the next cell 57 and so on. The formula is being correctly copiedI have not seen this one before. Anybody got any ideas? |
