filtering the pivot table..!

hi

is there any way to filter the pivot table by anyone or more fields..?

for ex for the following 5 fields can i group the date field between
two dates instead of months or qtrs..?

date... code...target...achieved...amount

b'coz..while grouping the date field into qtrs i'am getting the table
only as qtr1,qtr2..etc..whereas i want the exact dates..!!

So you are using the grouping optin built into pivot tables. You are grouping
by quarters, but you issue is that you want to see the individual dates also
in addition to the quarters. Whe you do the grouping the grouping options are
multi select so you can have day, quarter and year selected. Whe you do that
you get a day quarter and year field added to your list. Drag both day and
quarter onto the same report and you are good to go.
