Can not copy/paste from Excel XP into other programs - freezes
Hello all,
There is a user in our office who can not do a copy/paste from an Excel spreadsheet into an Outlook email. Basically she will copy the data and then open up a new email message (Outlook 2003) and do a paste. Everything then freezes on her computer and we have to do an END TASK on all programs. She is running Windows XP Pro and Office XP - with all of the latest service packs, etc. We have swapped out her PC in the past so the problem seems to follow her! I did read something about a possible corrupt spreadsheet file and I do have her doing some tests for me but in the meantime I thought I'd post this question to see if anyone else has come across this issue before. Thanks so much in advance for any assistance you can provide. Tammy :) |

Is it possible that someone has reassigned CTRL C to some other function?
Check any add-ins or the Personal workbook. -- HTH, Barb Reinhardt "Tammy" wrote: Hello all, There is a user in our office who can not do a copy/paste from an Excel spreadsheet into an Outlook email. Can not copy/paste from Excel XP into other programs - freezes
I have the same issue on two of my workstations. If I copy any text
in MS Excel 2002, then switch over to Outlook 2003, and click "NEW" as i new email message Outlook freezes. If I let it sit there, it will eventually close excel and delete the copied text from the clipboard and then bring up the new black email. I can work around this by opening a new email first, then go into Excel and ocpy text then paste it into the body of the already open new email. Funny thing is, the first method used to work for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you both for replying....I haven't pursued this further because have since purchased a new computer for this person and also upgraded Office and have had no problems since. Thank you again!
