Clicking on cell
When I click on a cell, it clicks a whole group of cells. I only want one
cell clicked. This is very frustrating and I can't get it to just click the one cell no matter what I do. I am not clicking the Control button with it. I tried re-installing Excel, restarting, re-saving the file and nothing worked. I have Windows XP, a new computer, MS Office 2007. Why does it do this? |

Sounds very frustrating, sorry!
Do you have the Extend Selection enabled? It will display "EXT" in the status bar at the bottom (Press F8 to toggle it on/off), at least in Excel 2003... I think 2007 still displays the status bar... I have a co-worker who has a similar problem when his laptop is docked, the left Shift key disables his extended selection. Hope this helps, Jim -- I appreciate any feedback. |

Well, I checked and no, I don't have that selected. Funny thing is that I
don't have this problem all the time. It only seems to do this occasionally and I can't figure out why! Thanks for the suggestion. "J Sedoff" wrote: Sounds very frustrating, sorry!
