I have a group that has a lot of Excel 2003 files with external connections
to other worksheets. We are in the process of converting to Excel 2007 and I am wondering if there is any way to do this conversion and maintain the connections once the file extensions on the linked files change from .xls to ..xlsx. I have done a couple of quick experiments but in each case I had to go into the Connection Properties and change the name to the new extension. If anyone has any other suggestions I would really appreciate it. |
