Protecting Formulas

Is there a way to protect/lock only the cells that contain formulas with a
password?

Thanks!

Protecting Formulas

You can do it like this, select the sheet with the formulas, hit Ctl+A to
select everything, right-click then Format Cells, select Protection tab and
uncheck Locked. Then in the menu; Edit-Go To-Special and check the formulas
box and hit ok, all cells with formulas are now selected. Right-click one of
these cells, select Format Cells, go to the protection tab and select locked.
Now when you protect the sheet, only the cells with formulas are protected.

By default, all cells are lock when you protect the worksheet. Click the
Select All button (the grey square to the left of the 'A' column header and
above the '1'
row header. Unlock all the cells. Then, use CTRL G to display the Goto
dialog and click the Special button. There, select Formulas. That will
select all the cells that have formulas. Finally, change the protection of
the formula cells to locked and protect the sheet.
