Conditional Format a cell in time increments

I have a macro running a timestamp for cell "d" when I make a change to cell
"c". How can I make it also change the cell colors of cell "d" after
intervals of 8, 16 & 24 hours (yellow, orange, red)?

Let me add. I am novice with excel and already have 3 conditional formats
running in another cell. Will this limit my ability to add the next three?

You can have up to 3 conditional formats in each cell, so the fact
that you have CF set in column C does not affect column D. I think
this is what David meant by "No".

Hope this helps.

No to the question which you asked, which was: "Will this limit my ability
to add the next three?"
