AutoCalc
Excel 2007 - I am trying to turn off the AutoCalc function. I am also
turning it off (so it manually calculates when I press F9) in the default. However, when I close and re-open the spreadsheet it is back on and starts calculating right away and when I am working on it. Is there a way to turn this off so it never calculates unless I press F9? |
AutoCalc
In xl2003, if I have a workbook that has AutoCalc turned off. But I open a
separate wb with AutoCalc on, then I open the wb that had it turned off, AutoCalc is NOW turned on. Not sure if same in xl2007. -- John C "duketter" wrote: Excel 2007 - I am trying to turn off the AutoCalc function. Yes, same thing..what is the correction for this? I want to turn it off so
it is always off when I open Excel. No matter what document I open. I would think the default setting would do this but it doesn't. Apparently this has not been changed with 2007 version.
First workbook opened governs the calc mode for subsequent workbooks opened in same session. AutoCalc
I personally recommend against it, as I am used to my data auto updating, and
the files that I don't want to autoupdate, I will open first, to ensure I am ok. However, I recommend if you want to try, it gives you instructions on how to Create a Template, and you would just want to create the Default Workbook Template. Hope this helps. -- John C "duketter" wrote: Yes, same thing..what is the correction for this? I want to turn it off so it is always off when I open Excel. No matter what document I open.
