Can't change birthdate in cell
I have an client list containing general information including the birthdate.
Out of about 600 names about 20 birthdays show ###### in the cell. If I hover my cursor over the cell the date shows. If I then change the date, all of the other cells where the birthdate showed the pound sign change to their correct dates. However, I cannot save the updates as when I go back none of the birthdates in question are updated and still show #####. The date format is mm/dd/yyyy. I have never seen this before and am stumped! |

You just need to widen the column that the dates are in. Whenever Excel has
a number that it cannot display fully it replaces the numbers with #'s symbols. -- Kevin Backmann "pete5440" wrote: I have an client list containing general information including the birthdate. Chances are your column isn't wide enough to display the full date. Try
widening the column. Regards, Paul -- "pete5440" wrote in message ... I have an client list containing general information including the birthdate.
