Excel Quick Access Toolbar Commands not working?

How do I get the Quick Access Toolbar Commands in Excel to work? They are
showed, but subdued or grayed for header and footer. I haven't found
anything on the KB as a solution yet. Word and PowerPoint seem to be okay.

Any ideas appreciated.

Excel Quick Access Toolbar Commands not working?

Hi Jerry

Does this file exist ?

Note: It is in a hidden folder

Excel saves your QAT setup in a file named €œExcel.qat€ in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\Excel.qat

In Vista you can find it here
C:\Users\<username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office \Excel.qat

Note: This file will not exist if you have not customized your QAT

Excel Quick Access Toolbar Commands not working?

Ron, yes it is there since I have customized my QAT. I added Properties,
Close, Print Preview, Print and they all work. It is just header and footer
that don't work. However, once I go to footer and/or header via the Insert,
etc., then they work. Could I have selected the wrong commands?

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Ahaaaa

I think you must add the Header & Footer button also as far as I can see

Click on Header & Footer and then on Header or Footer
