Hi,

I have set up a spreadsheet with links to other folders on a server system
within excel but when other users try to up date the spreadsheet it does not
work, but if i update it it does?

Is this a server problem or excel i have made sure all links are in the
relavent folder.

Hi ,

You need to share the spreadsheet with other users.
Tools/Protection/Protect and share workbooks.

This will allow other users to update the spread sheets as far as excel is
concerned. ver.2003
But in case if you not given any sharing rights on the folders to the
intended users then the folder will always say the files are ready only.

Right click on the folder to be shared/Sharing/Share this
folder/Permissions/add/Apply/OK

Check it this should solve your problem
