Default Specify a range when using 'Import data'

Hi all,
I want to import a range of data from another excel worksheet, I can get the
whole sheet, but am not sure of how to specify a range.
I get to 'import data' & i think i should go to 'edit query' where i find
the window 'Edit OLE DB Query' ....is this where i specify a range? if so i
need to know the exact syntax please.
