my worksheet tabs are hidden
I am running Excel 2007. I am sharing files with my laptop and desktop. My
laptop displays my wworkbook w/o the worksheet tabs while the desktop shows the sheet tabs |

Make sure they are set to be displayed. Click the Office button, click the
Excel Options button, select Advance from the list on the left and scroll down to the section marked "Display options for this workbook" and make sure the "Show sheet tabs" item is checked. One other thought... make sure the horizontal scroll bar has not been
stretched (to the left) such that it is covering the tabs up (look for the narrow vertical box next to the left scroll arrow head to see where the left side of the scroll bar is located at).
