Hullo all - after a bit of searching, I can't find any easy explanation of
how to do this - I'd like to create a boxplot from one column of Excel data, where each box represents one decile (across the X-axis), and the Y-axis represents the value of the data field. Each box should cover 1 SD on either side of the mean value for that decile, and ideally also show the outlying min and max values in that decile. I hope Excel does boxplots - but I cant even find out how to do a simple barchart of deciles - even that is a start! Thanx for any help! |

I think this may be an answer, so am posting it here in case there is no
easier way, as it may help others with the same question - it requires some manipulation of data first, unfortunately, it seems there is no boxplot function in Excel. http://www.censusatschool.ntu.ac.uk/...plotsExcel.pdf "Meadow" wrote: Hullo all - after a bit of searching, I can't find any easy explanation of how to do this - I'd like to create a boxplot from one column of Excel data, where each box represents one decile (across the X-axis), and the Y-axis represents the value of the data field.
