Ctrl and Tab functions broken
Hello, I have three Excel problems that I need help with. (1) After
entering data into a cell, I press Tab to move to the adjacent cell, and instead of moving one cell over, it skips about 10 cells over, much like pressing Page Down but to the right. (2) The Ctrl key no longer works to select multiple cells. I usually hold Ctrl to get to the end of a column or row of data, and now pressing the key does nothing. Ctrl + Home no longer takes me to the first cell of the worksheet. (3) Home no longer takes me to the beginning of the row; it takes me to the beginning of the worksheet. Troubleshooting: I use an external keyboard hooked up to the laptop. This problem occurs on both the external keyboard and the laptop keyboard. I've tried restarting multiple times. I tried Help|Detect and Repair, and Excel did not find anything. Can someone please help me b/c this makes data entry much more tedious! Thanks, Dan |

Click TOOLS on the menu and select OPTIONS. In the OPTIONS dialog box click
the TRANSITION tab and remove the check from the TRANSITION NAVIGATION KEYS check box. A hold over from the days when Lotus 1-2-3 ruled the earth. Hope this helps... -- Kevin Backmann "Jerke" wrote: Hello, I have three Excel problems that I need help with.
