installed sp1 and now only compatability mode works

Excel & Word worked prior to uploading & install of SP1 now Both only work in
compatability mode. And the Activate button does not work. The about button
shows that both excel & word are registered to me.

What do I need to do to get excel & word working in something other than
compatabilty mode
