In Excel sometimes the end of the text does not wrap - why?
Issue being, merged cells into Excel spreadsheet. Some cells would wrap but
others would not. Tried changing the font - that didn't work. Tried changing the column width - got to be too wide. The last 4 lines would not wrap not matter what I did. Now I am considering re-typing the cell from scratch or maybe there is something in the cell that I cannot see thus causing a non-wrap. Please advise. Thanks. |

This is one of the limitations of using merged cells, which I try to avoid at
all costs. When using merged cells you'll have to force wordwrap by inserting a new line within the cell. This is accomplished by pressing <Alt + <Enter to force a line break a the current cursor location. You can do this after the fact as well. If you're anything like me typing something once is more than enough and if retyping can be avoided I always opt for that route. -- Kevin Backmann "zzzzzzzzz" wrote: Issue being, merged cells into Excel spreadsheet. If the text just fades away, it's not really a wrapping problem. It's more of
display problem. But you can add alt-enters (to force new lines within the cell) every 80-100 characters and you'll be able to see more characters. zzzzzzzzz wrote: Issue being, merged cells into Excel spreadsheet.
