Default How format partially one text cell for font, etc., but not whole c

I would like to add superscript/italics to a very small portion of the words
in one single text cell, but not for the entire cell. How can i select the
option to add formatting changes to one or two words from the text in the
cell, without having to change it for everything in that cell?

When I highlight the part of the cell I want to reformat, I won't have the
option to enter into formatting. I have to select the entire cell before the
option 'format cells' become available.

Is there any way I could figure this out? Thanks for your help!

Try it this way:

1. Highlight the portion of the cell you want to format.
2. Right click on the cell, choose Formal Cells...
3. Choose your formatting.
4. Click OK.

The formatting you specify will apply only to the portion you've
highlighted.

Regards,
Fred.

Select the cell.

Click in the formula bar.

Highlight the portion to change.

FormatCells and do it then hit ENTER.
