I am trying to paste the comments from one workbook to another and I have
read that it can be done by using Paste Special - Comments. However, when I click on Paste Special, "Comments" isn't in the selection box. For reference here is the list of options that are in the Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object Picture (Enhanced Metafile) Bitmap Microsoft Excel 8.0 Format Biff5 BIFF4 Biff3 Biff SYLK Wk1 DIF XML Spreadsheet HTML Unicode Text Text Csv Hyperlink And I am using Excel 2003. Are selecting the cell with the comments, or are you going into the Comment
box itself. When I select the cell with the comments I wish to copy, then right click and paste special, I do have an option to paste the comments. The options I get a Paste: All, Formulas, Values, Formats, Comments, Validation, All except borders, Column widths, Formulas and number formats, Values and number formats Operation: None, Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide Skip Blanks, Transpose -- John C "bwion" wrote: I am trying to paste the comments from one workbook to another and I have read that it can be done by using Paste Special - Comments. Hey John,
Nope, I am selecting the cell with the comments, then copying, then going to the other workbook and right clicking on the target cell and hitting paste special and there isn't a "comments" selection. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Ben Wion "John C" wrote: Are selecting the cell with the comments, or are you going into the Comment box itself. If the other workbook is in a different instance of Excel you'll get
those options. Open both workbooks in the same instance of Excel and it should show the Paste Comments option. bwion wrote: I am trying to paste the comments from one workbook to another and I have read that it can be done by using Paste Special - Comments. If you're using multiple monitors, you may want to review Chip Pearson's notes:
