CSV File
Just downloaded my cell phone phonebook as a CSV file. What an ugly mess.
Each piece of data is separated by a ";". I would like to take each piece of data between the semi-colons and place it into its own cell. Please help with a macro or other advice. Thanks Phil |
CSV File
All your data should be in one column... select that entire column and then
click on Data/Text To Columns on Excel's menu bar. When the dialog box comes up, select the Delimited option and click Next. Check the Semicolon box and uncheck any other boxes, then click Next. You can format any column on this dialog page (select the column, then select a format option for it). Click OK. Rick "2GWLAN" wrote in message ...
