Data Validation List with blanks
Hi,
I've given a data validation with list, source as fixed name range ( include blanks) and settings Ignore blanks is checked. The issue I'm facing is Dropdown list displaying all the values from the given named range including blanks. Please help me out how to exclude blanks from dropdown list. If possible: Another scenario, some times I'm creating a named range dynamically using 'OFFSET' function by finding last used cell in named range required column i.e., There are some blank cells included inbetween first cell and Last cell after creation of dynamic named range. In this scenario, how to excldue blanks if I give this named range as source to one of the data validation. Advanced Thanks, ~Vins |

That's *not* what the ignore blank option is for.
The only way to not have the empty cells appear in your drop down is to not have empty cells in the source list. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Vinod" wrote in message ...
