delete the actual symbol *

I made the mistake of adding the * symbol to some entries that I wanted to
flag. Now I can not search for them because the * is seen as a wild card
character and every cell is found by the FIND function. Is there anything I
can do?

Search using the tilde(~) which is a wildcard charater that overrides other
wildcard charaters.

~* or ~?
